Class Descriptions: Beginning Level 1 & 2 (Rolling Stars): This is the beginning level at Oregon Gymnastics Academy. The recommended age is six years old and above. The gymnasts will learn basic skills such as: cartwheel on floor, pullover on bars, vaulting approach and drills, and also the appropriate safety rules for each event. They will also receive instruction on the trampoline and tumble trampoline. Intermediate Level 1 & 2 (Rising Stars): This class is for gymnasts who have progressed beyond the beginning levels. Basic skills taught in this class are: backbend kick over, back hip circle on bars, handstand flat back on vault (onto mats), and a round off on floor. There is more emphasis at this level on strength and flexibility. Safety rules are continually stressed at every level. Advanced Level 1 & 2 (Gym Stars): This is our most advanced class at OGA. Gymnasts will focus on more difficult and advanced skills on all events. This class will prepare them for the pre-team, train them to become stronger athletes, or just allow them to enjoy the challenge of gymnastics. Girls’ events are vault, bars, beam, floor and trampoline Boys’ events are floor, pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars, high bar, and trampoline Tumbling & Trampoline: T&T is our tumbling and trampoline class that is available for students (coed) with specific interests in tumbling and trampoline, from basic skills to advanced skills. There are Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced level classes. This class is fun for kids at every level. Safety rules are covered thoroughly when taking these classes. Class Tuition 75 minutes/week: $76 monthly
