What is OGA Summer Camp all about?

Gymnastics! The focus of OGA’s Summer Camps is learning awesome new gymnastics skills and having a blast all week long. Each day will include hours of gymnastics instruction by our fantastic coaches, as well as educational activities designed to spark your child’s learning and creativity.

  • Campers will be placed in groups based on their age and gymnastics skill level
  • All campers will be together in the camp room for activities times, snacks, and lunch

Each Wednesday afternoon, Junior Campers (ages 6 and older) will go swimming at a local pool!

  • Please note that Mini Campers (4-5 year olds) will not be attending field trips or swimming, but instead will have alternate activities on site

What should we bring?

  • A sack lunch (for Full Day campers only)
    • Healthy snacks are provided twice each day
  • Wear comfortable, athletic clothing, and long hair should be tied back
    • Younger campers are encouraged to bring a change of clothes
  • A light jacket and closed-toed shoes are required for field trips – we may be walking a lot and sandals are not always a safe or comfortable option
  • Please do not send valuables with your child. OGA cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items.

2017 Summer Camp Themes

June 19th-June 23rd: Lights, Camera...

Show off your skills and discover hidden talents this week! We will spend our days finding our inner superstar, and end the week with a camp talent show.

June 26th-June 30th: Blast From the Past

Let’s take some time to explore eras gone by. This week we will have a crash course through the most awesome parts of history, including a throwback field trip where we will go roller skating at Oaks Park!

July 3rd-7th: America's Heroes

These heroes may not have powers, but they sure are super! We will spend time this week learning about those who dedicate themselves to our country including our police, firefighters, and armed servicemen. We will even get to visit a local fire station and hear from some of these heroes firsthand.(Please note: There will be no camp on July 4th in observation of Independence Day)

July 10th-14th: Dino-mite!

Let’s play with some prehistoric pals! This week will be dedicated to all things dino, and will end with a trip to OMSI where we will watch “Dinosaurs Alive”.

July 17th-21st: Heart in Oregon

We love Oregon and can’t wait to learn all about it! Join us as we explore Oregon’s history and visit Portland’s historic Pittock Mansion.

July 24th-28th: Hear OGA Roar!

Lions, and tigers, and bears, oh my! Animals are the name of the game this week, and we know our campers will be roaring with excitement about our field trip to the Oregon Zoo!

July 31st-August 4th: Passport Ready

Around the world in 80 days? Our campers will do it in one week! We will learn about a variety of cultures and customs, and take in some multi-cultural art at the Portland Art Museum.

August 7th-11th: Dig It!

This week we will appreciate everything Mother Nature has to offer. After our campers spend the week getting down to Earth, we will visit Bella Organic Farms for a fun and tasty produce picking adventure!

August 14th-18th: Let the Games Begin

While gymnastics may be our favorite sport, there are so many others out there to discover! After we try our hand at a week full of different sports, we will visit Providence Park to see where the big league action happens.

August 21st-25th: Need for Speed

Rev your engines and prepare to hit the gas, because this week of camp is going to go full throttle. At the end of the week, we will cross the finish line by visiting World of Speed, a local museum celebrating racing history.

August 28th-September 1st: Clownin' Around

Join us under the big top as we send the summer off in silly circus style! We will close the curtain on Summer 2017 with a trip to The Circus Project where campers will learn what it takes to be a circus performer.
